VyOS is an Open Source Debian-based Router OS. It's a fork of the Vyatta OS developed by Brocade.
Ubiquiti's carrier grade Network hardware uses a modified version of VyOS for it's "EdgeOS."

- 802.3af Active PoE IEEE standard that supports low power devices and provides a maximum of 15.4W at the PSE.
- 802.3at Active PoE IEEE standard that provides a maximum of 30W at the PSE.
- 802.3bt Active PoE IEEE standard that provides a maximum of 60W (type 3) or 100W (type 4) at the PSE.
- On Ubiquiti equipment, 802.3af PoE is often reffered to as 'PoE', whereas 802.3at and 802.3bt are referred to as 'PoE+' and 'PoE++'.
